 Artist Research

Having gained an understanding of how power can be converted into movement in terms of the Genie E18 Peripheral Interface Control, research was then undertaken to help provide a creative stimulus for the potential outcome.

As well as researching artists I felt it necarssary to research a specific animal. With its side ways walk and multi jointed legs the humble crab preseneted an interesting prospect to develop. The way in which the body is suspended, often high above the groun in some species, by the legs, was of particular interest and has been a clear influence on numerous sciience fiction films over the years and perhaps some influencial pieces of design?
